At Bark Avenue, we proudly follow a Sanity over Vanity grooming philosophy, meaning your dog’s emotional wellbeing, comfort, and safety will always come before achieving a particular haircut or aesthetic style.

While beautiful grooms are important, they should never come at the expense of a dog feeling frightened, overwhelmed, or distressed. Every dog is unique, and not all dogs cope well in traditional grooming salon environments. Busy salons often involve constant noise, multiple dogs and people moving in and out, and dogs being left for extended periods of time. For many pups, this can be overstimulating and stressful. Working one-on-one allows for a completely different experience.

Your dog receives my full, undivided attention for the entire appointment in a calm and controlled environment, without the pressure of other dogs, loud dryers, or constant interruptions. This approach allows me to work at your dog’s pace, respond to their individual needs, and create a more relaxed and positive grooming experience.

This personalised style of grooming is especially beneficial for puppies, senior dogs, anxious or nervous dogs, and those who may be reactive or sensitive to handling. Rather than rushing or forcing a dog through a groom, I make thoughtful adjustments when needed and, if appropriate, recommend more practical coat choices that support comfort and long-term wellbeing.

As a one-on-one groomer, my goal is not just a beautiful groom, but a dog who feels safe, respected, and confident returning again and again. At Bark Avenue, kindness, patience, and understanding guide every decision — because a calm, happy dog will always matter most.

  • I currently operate from 9am-4pm, Sunday to Thursday, and im closed on Friday and Saturday!

  • I am a home based groomer set up at my home in Blakehurst, 2221. All customers will receive my address upon booking.

    I do ask that if you would like to make a booking to please do so via text.

  • To make a booking, please send a text to 0423 206 208.
    While I’m grooming, my focus is entirely on the pup in my care, so I may miss calls or messages. Texting is the easiest way to reach me, and I’ll get back to you shortly.

    I am a one-on-one groomer, meaning your dog receives my full attention for the entire appointment.

    This personalised approach creates a calm and positive experience for all dogs, and is especially beneficial for anxious or nervous pups who may feel overwhelmed by busy salons, loud noises, or being around multiple dogs.

    One-on-one grooming is also an excellent option for reactive dogs who may not be comfortable around other dogs.

The face behind Bark Avenue.

I created Bark Avenue to combine my passion for dogs with a grooming approach that places comfort, care, and well-being at the heart of every appointment. My goal is to ensure every pup not only looks and feels beautiful, but also feels safe, calm, and genuinely cared for throughout their grooming experience.

After transitioning from an office-based career, my love for animals led me to pursue professional dog grooming so I could spend my days doing what I truly love — pampering pups. I completed my training with an accredited and reputable Australian grooming centre and gained hands-on experience working in multiple salons before opening Bark Avenue. This allowed me to develop my own personalised grooming style and offer a more thoughtful, tailored service.

I specialise in one-on-one grooming, meaning your dog receives my full attention for the entire appointment. This calm, personalised approach is especially beneficial for dogs who feel overwhelmed in busy salon environments, are sensitive to noise, or don’t socialise well with other dogs.
