I currently operate from 9am-5pm, Friday to Tuesday!
If an evening or out-of-hours appointment is required, this can be discussed with me however there will be an additional charge.

I am a home based groomer set up at my home in Blakehurst, 2221. All customers will receive my address upon booking.

No, I do not! I am a 1-on-1 groomer in which the entire time slot is spent directly with your pup! This is a great experience for all dogs, and especially great for high-anxiety dogs as sharing a room with 5+ dogs and salon noises can scare them! This is also a great choice for any reactive dogs that do not do well with other dogs.
I will sometimes have my own toy poodle Truffle with me, however he does not have free range and you are welcome to let me know if your dog does not mix well with others and I will ensure they are completely alone!

This is a great term that I like to live by when grooming your pups! Although the majority of dogs are well-behaved in the grooming room and can get a spiffy haircut, some dogs are extremely old, high anxiety or even aggressive. For these cases my main job is to make the groom comfortable and have it completed in a quick amount of time so they aren’t uncomfortable or anxious for long periods.
They will still leave looking spiffy, however, it won’t be to the same level as a standard groom for the sake of the pups well being as I don’t want to make the grooming experience worse for them.
I take a lot of pride in taking my time with your pup and ensuring they have a fantastic and comfortable experience!
Meet your Groomer!
My name is Gabby, I’m 23 years old and have created my salon, Bark Avenue, to be able to put my passion and love for dogs into my work, focusing on making your pup feel beautiful & pampered whilst also ensuring your dog’s comfort and wellbeing throughout the process.
Originally coming from an office background, my love for animals pushed me in the direction of becoming a dog groomer so I can spend my days pampering your pups! Having completed a course with an accredited & reputable Australian grooming center as well as working in multiple salons, I opened Bark Avenue to be able to offer my own personalized grooming and skills.
I currently offer 1-on-1 services with your pet, allowing me to solely focus on your pup and their groom. This is a great option as many dogs get very overwhelmed in a grooming salon setting due to various dryers and people, as well as a great option for dogs who don’t socialize well with other dogs!
Animal welfare & comfort is one of my main focuses when grooming and like to proactively use the motto of ‘Sanity over Vanity’. For dogs who struggle with the grooming process, I strive to have their groom done safely & as quickly as possible to limit your pups’ anxiety and stress. I strive to create a super happy and enjoyable environment for your pup, focusing on cage-free grooming, so they can enjoy their doggy day spa with lots of cuddles and love!
